The first BYS Tournament took place on December 10, 2017 in Plumtree, Zimbabwe.

The tournament was attended by 6 local teams (108 players total).

Tournament Objectives

  • To give underprivileged players a platform to shine and be selected to train with the academy.

  • To ensure that the underprivileged members of the community have access to talent development initiatives and facilities in order to optimize their potential.

  • To source for sponsorships and scholarships locally and internationally for the talented student athletes.

  • To raise awareness in the community by partnering with local and international stakeholders in an effort to promote youth soccer and advocate for a healthy lifestyle through exercise for all age groups.

The event was well received in the community and gave young players an opportunity to enjoy the game of soccer while providing a fun event for the whole community to enjoy.
