BYS to host 3rd annual tournament

In less than two weeks, Plumtree town will roar to life as the 3rd season of the Building Youth Through Soccer BYS Academy U16 Tournament will be happening at Plumtree High School.

In this year’s tournament, six teams, totalling over one hundred players will have an opportunity to shine and compete in front of guests, stakeholders, sponsors, and coaches. The competition will not have money but rather have a trophy and medals, individual performance prizes, and vouchers to spend at Plumtree Bakery Supermarket & Wholesale, one of the sponsors.

The BYS Academy mission is to identify soccer talent in underprivileged communities and help young players reach their maximum potential on and off the field. To fulfill this mission, the Academy partners with international and local organizations to facilitate growth and regular exposure of youth soccer talent in underprivileged areas.

The Academy intends to set the benchmark for youth football administration standards in Africa.

BYS strives in every way to become a leader in the development of young soccer players by continually raising the standards of players and coaches in Africa’s diverse countries.

BYS aims to identify, nurture, and manage Africa’s youth soccer talent by ensuring that all Africans get equal opportunities in regards to training and scouting exposure. We are not just giving BYS players a platform but other schools and academies around Plumtree town, the home of BYS Academy. We thank all our partners and sponsors. BYS aims to continue building relationships and partnerships in the U.S that share the same vision.
